- Annual maintenance fees are due on each anniversary of the filing date and only after grant of the patent for the subsequent years and shouldn't be paid for the years already lapsed before the grant of the patent. The payment cannot be made more than 12 months before the due date. The 1st annuity is included in the filing fee.
- Right to delay of fees due in respect of each year: by month started late, 25% of the amount of the annuity rate with a minimum of dh 240.00.

- The initial protection period is 5 years and can be renewed twice, each time for 5 years, allowing for a maximum protection of 15 years.
- Renewal fees must be paid every 5 years, and applicants must submit a renewal application within 6 months before the expiration of the current term.
- If late, there is a grace period of 6 months during which a late fee of 240.00 dirhams per month is required.
