- Annual fees for the first two years are included in the filing fee. They are payable for the third and each subsequent year following the filing date, even have not yet been granted.
- No need to pay the 3-4 annual fees. Applicant must indicate to the Office that the patent should be renewed for the 3-4 years. The first payment must be made after the filing of the Portuguese translation of the international application, and must occur within 3 months from the next anniversary of the application filing date following the filing of the translation. Subsequently, annual fees become due each year during the 6 months preceding the anniversary of the international filing date. Late payment can be made within 6 months from that anniversary together with 50% surcharge.
- If overdue, payment must be made within 6 months along with an additional fee of 50%.
Portuguese Utility Model Annuities
