- In EUIPO, a registered industrial design is protected for up to 25 years from the filing date. Renewal fees are payable every 5 years (i.e., at the end of each five-year term) and become due on the last day of the month in which the design-application was filed.
- If the annual fee is not paid by the due date, it may still be paid within a 6-month grace period, subject to an additional charge of 50% of the applicable annual fee.
