- In Denmark, invention patents are protected for up to 20 years from the filing date. The 1st -3rd year renewal fees must be paid by the last day of the month in which the 2nd anniversary of the filing date falls. Subsequent annual renewal fees are due on the last day of the month of each subsequent filing-date anniversary.
- If a renewal fee is not paid by its due date, the applicant or owner may still pay it within a 6-month grace period, provided that a surcharge of 20% of the applicable fee is paid.

- In Denmark, utility model protection is valid for 10 years from the filing date. The registration may be extended by payment of renewal fees: a first renewal covers the period from year 3 to year 6, and a 2nd renewal covers the period from year 6 to year 10. Renewal fees are due by the last day of the month containing the anniversary of the filing date.
- If the renewal fee is not paid by its due date, the applicant or owner may still pay it within a 6-month grace period, subject to a surcharge of 20% of the applicable renewal fee.
Danish Design Annuities

- In Denmark, a registered industrial design is valid for up to 25 years from the filing date, provided renewal fees are paid every five years. Renewal fees are payable on or before the expiry of each 5-year term.
- If a renewal fee is not paid by its due date, it may still be paid within a 6-month grace period, subject to a surcharge of 20% of the applicable fee.
